Anyone with Dreambox...

Hi,

can anyone that is using a Dreambox, please issue the following urls and report back their results - especially interested if you are using the Nabilosat 0.8 image:

http://x.x.x.x/web/getcurrent
http://x.x.x.x/web/about
http://x.x.x.x/web/deviceinfo

Please replace x.x.x.x with your ip address for your dreambox.

I think I have a problem with mine responding in time for the TVSource software and MC, so I get no tv signal problems or encrypted channel messages - followed by the channel appearing...

Thanks
Tony

I'm using 2xDVBViewer/Hadu and DVBLink with Windows 7 MCE and a DM500 running newcs/CCcam and get 100% decryption. I've checked the newcs webserver and found it 100% success rate. (Now if only I could get channel change reliability at 100% I'd be a happy man!).

However, when I tried out the TVSource in the same configuration I cannot get decryption to work at all! I've tried Acamd and Hadu and no go. The logs show that both appear to be asking and getting correct DCW data but TVsource just seems to be ignoring it. I notice in the DVBLogic forums that the admin will not entertain Q's about soft CAMS so I've parked it for now.

Back to DVBViewer setup, I've setup two batch files to stop/start DVBLink Server and configured Windows 7 to run these as scheduled tasks at 4:00am. I'm hoping this will stop the overnight hangup I have been experiencing. If this works I can pass on the very simple batch files (in fact from another forum it appears you may have them!).

Thanks guys,

glad to see I'm not the only one - this looks like its possibly a problem with the dvblogic software, since it seems to try and get details from these pages...

Fortunately, using TVSource, I just get a slight delay these days, occasionally will get a message flash up about encrypted channel, then the program appears... Hopefully when the next beta is released, this could be resolved

Hi Tony,

How did you get Hadu working with TVSource? I've created a folder called Plugins within the source folder but i still get service is scrambled.

Thanks

Hi,

in order to get the plugins working, create the directory Plugins under each TVSource tuner definition.

Place your hadu.dll and hadu.ini files, and then you need to find a copy of the file CSA.dll, I found it in software SoftCSA, this also needs to be placed in the directory.

So long as your hadu.ini worked correctly with DVBLink for DVBViewer/DVBDream etc, it will just work with that setup (or at least it did for me)

Hope that helps, if you need a copy of the dll, let me know.

Good news is that with the DLL it is working.

Bad news is the same issue as you Tony, change to an encrypted channel takes several seconds (longer than DVBviewer) and mostly causes a brief 'Channel is encrypted...' error to flash up. I wonder if there is a registry setting in MCE to delay how long before this message is shown?

I'm running DVBViewer + Flycccam and no problems at all. I got page not found errors when I tried the links you posted but everything running as sweet as a nut.

Hi Paul,

beta 2 of TVSource is running a lot better for me on the whole with regards to changing channels - now back to sub 2 seconds.

Unfortunately I've had problems with a couple of test recordings about 15 mins in receiving low signal warnings - I have a thread open on this on the dvblogic forums... in recent tests I've not been able to replicate, thats waiting until its one of the wifes recordings, just so she can give me more bruises!
