    Hi all

I've had a problem with a Pi & AV amp combo..

My Pi has XBMC loaded and is connected via HDMI to my AV amp (Sony 840 and now a 1040)

When the Pi is attached to the amp via HDMI the amp fails to switch on. The green power light is lit but nothing actually switches on in the Amp, its 'dead' and unresponsive.

As soon as I remove the Pi from the HDMI cable the Amp works as normal!

I have tried different cables and hdmi ports on the amp, the same happens

Is something within the Pi shutting my amp down!?

    thanks

Is HDMI-CEC (bravia sync I think they call it) enabled on the amp ?

If so try turning that off and see what happens. I have an older Sony amp and it's called HDMI-CTRL on it.
