Anyone using Pioneer AV600 with a CRT?

Hi,

I'm trying to find a DVD player for use via component or Scart to my 32" Toshiba picture frame CRT. So far I've had disappointments with the Denon 1940 (green haze on some black and white films) and Cambridge Audio DVD89 (glitchy speed, and the analogue outputs just aren't very good). On another thread, someone has helpfully recommended the Pioneer AV600 for CRT use. My number one priority is picture quality at standard res. I am not much bothered about sound, features, design, etc.

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this? Thanks a lot,
Ben

Hi Nervosa13.
I recently got a DV600 and am using it with my 32" Sony CRT via S-video > Scart > TV.
The picture quality hasn't knocked me out, but I'm sure once I update the connection type it will.
Thouhg I don't have any B & W DVD's, It looks about on par with my JAMO DVR 50, but this TV doesn't have any better connections, i.e Component.
Hope that helps.
