I'm looking to buy a new cooker and it's about £40 cheaper on appliancesonline compared to John Lewis and HOF. Has anyone used appliancesonline, would you recommend them?

I bought a Bosch dishwasher from them last year. They were a good £40 cheaper than most places and £100 less than the local sheds.

When the guys delivered the unit (Saturday afternoon), they unpacked it and gave it a quick once over. They drew my attention to a small mark on the side (which would be hidden when installed) and gave their office a call. Within a few minutes, the office called back and apologised for the inconvenience and offered me £30 back on my card. Magic.

(I'm sure the mark on the metalwork was a manufacturing effect caused by over-tightening a screw).

The delivery guys refused a tip and took all the packaging away with them.

So I would definitely recommend appliancesonline.

I brought a Whirlpool Fridge, a Whirlpool Freezer, a Beko Washing Machine and a Beko Cooker to furnish a rental property that I have late in 2009 and had no problems with them at all.

As mentioned they are cheap, however, I didn't have any issues with the delivered items so I can't comment on any aftersales support I'm afraid.

The only small thing was the delivery drivers weren't very fussy about wiping their feet when tramping in and out of the house (unfortunately it was a very very wet day) and weren't very careful about unpacking the items (Polystyrene bits flying everywhere). Although, to be honest, that just about sums up all delivery people I have ever had

I've used them to buy my washing machine and they delivered very quickly (within 2 days as I recall rightly) as they had advertised super quick delivery and I needed a new one asap. It was very good service. It hasn't broken down yet so I guess I haven't really tested their after-sales support, although they have phoned me twice to offer me (try to sell me) product extended warranty which I have declined.

I used them a fortnight ago for an AEG oven and warming drawer. No problems at all with them, plus 2% cashback on topcashback, which tracked almost immediately (on the pre-VAT amount). Delivery arrangements are excellent - you get a call and text the night before with a 2 hour slot, then a confirmation of the slot from the actual driver on the day. Very impressed.
I needed the oven delivered asap, so paid a tenner for a Saturday delivery (ordered on a Thursday afternoon). The other item was out of stock, and that got free delivery the following Thursday.

used them not long after xmas for a new cooker, went for the free delivery option chose a saturday delivery (still Free) And they phone and text me the 4 hour slot they would be delivering the night before. so i didn't have to wait all day for them.

As others have said, they are cheeper,
there was good comms all the way through
and free delivery on a saturday
delivery guys won't leave until you have done a visual inspection and are happy.

In essence there are a lot of top brand companies that could take a leaf out of their book and thats not just with the pricing.
