Looking at joining a wine club........
Virginwines' prices look quite good and as a joining offer they are offering 24 bottles for £80 with no obligation to buy at any time.

Just wonderd if anyone else uses them and if so are their quarterly "Discovery club" wine cases any good or not?

By all accounts I understand that they excellent. If you're not in the leave the wine somewhere you can find it and if it gets stolen they will replace it no questions asked. I don't personally use the,m but my brother does and he is extremly pleased. They do some great opening offers if you look around.

Used them once. Box was left outside but no note pushed through door, so by the time we found it (about 3 days later), it had disintegrated in the rain! Probably unfair to blame Virgin for this - probably just some lazy git courier.

Also, they substituted two of the wines we'd specifically ordered (6 bottles total) with no explanation or apology. An irate phone call got a full refund and we were told to keep the wine.

Not sure if I'll give them another try... we're still drinking the last lot!

Used to use them ages ago and found them very good. But, since I rarely drink now I don't order anymore. They usually have good mixed box offers, but it's unlikely you will be able to use the vouchers against these special offers.

I've used Virgin Wines for a few years now. The quality isn't as good as it has been (at the under £7 price point) but if you don't like a wine you get your money back (well a credit anyway).

Keep your eyes open for the £10 wines at £1 each :)

I got that postal shot today. Those wines are not worth £80 (I've drunk most of them).

John Lewis wines (waitrose) are better for value for mail order. Oddbins are better for VFM.
