Anyone undervolt their i5?

I currently have my i5-2400 undervolted to 1v for the CPU (down from 1.165v, LLC and Turbo disabled) and 1.4v for the RAM

Temps are 29-30c idle and 52c max using the Intel stock cooler and power usage is 46-51w idle (not sure why it jumps) and 99w max :D

For comparison, my old C2D system used 100w at idle.

Has anyone else undervolted theirs and what was the lowest you could go with the system being stable?

I'm using an ASUS P8H67-M Pro with 4GB Corsair XMS3 Classic 9-9-9-24 RAM if anyone's wondering

Haha .. I was thinking of undervolting my C2d 6750 to use as a low power server, but haven't measured the power draw.. possibly the powerful Gfx card, dual tV tuner 3 HDdiscs and USB toaster may also suck up some juice ...
Fight the Power :fist:

Quad Q9400 idles @ 70W (1.15V) with 7200RPM samsung disk and ati HT 3450, undervolted (0.99V) and clocked @ 2GHz was still around 60W and not 100% stable.

I've never undervolted, but you can get low power versions of the I5 now.

E.g. the i5-2400S which runs at up to 65 watts instead of the usual 95 watts.

It does this by running at a slower default clock speed. 2.5 Ghz instead of 3.1Ghz of the regular i5-2400

My system idols @ 110w
thats 6750 +3 hards +4670 + tv tuner .. so sounds about right ..

I have looked around for the i5-2400t which has a TDP of 35w BUT is nowhere to be seen, even the i5-2400s is noticeable by its absence. MIA.
Anyone know UK sellers with prices?

where do I find the stock voltage for a i5 2500k?

Last night I tried the Asus EPU, and that undervolts (or at least reduces the previous voltage it was using). Sometimes below 1v. That makes a drematic difference to idle temps and brings them to at, or below MoBo temps.

Ie it was about 36-40°C with MoBo 32°C. Now about 26-32°C
