    Hi,

Looking for a pre and power amp combo to replace my old and failing HiFi Amps.

I was thinking about either the Arcam A32 and P35 combo to match my DV27. Was also thinking about the Musical Fidelity CR A3 amps.

Anyone tried these and got any opinions??

    Any other combos worth trying??

    Dave.

Are you thinking of using the A32/P35 as a multichannel amp?

If you are you'll have to wait for the 6ch input board to arrive for the A32 and the DVD-A baord for the DV27, shouldn't be too long now.

We use the A32/P35 combo at work, with a CD23T as source, bi-amping a pair of Jamo Concert 11 speakers. It is a very impressive system, I've heard nothing at the price point that is any better.

    Which speakers do you use?

    Hi,

Thanks for the response. I have B&W speakers throughtout (complete AV system). On the fronts I have older B&W P4's which are still good but would probs be my nest upgrade buit sticking to B&W.

I have always read that Arcam and B&W were good partners.

I have also been looking at the Musical Fidelity A3CR pre and power. They are now discontinued (3 months) but means that there are some good bargains to be had.

    Cheers,

    Dave.

Doesn't the A32 have the capability to configure the tape loop as a fixed gain input (like the A85)?

yasted: Absolutely. The software is identical to the A85(just like the DV88/27 shares). They have both been designed to accpet the 6ch input board later.
