I'm looking to buy my first projector (probably a Panasonic AE700) and am looking to see which screen I should get.

I am in a rented flat, so screens that require being attached to the wall or ceiling are not ideal for me - I'd need to get permission from my landlord, which might not be possible.

This Homescreen looks perfect - it can be placed anywhere without installation, and easily packs down into its case when not in use. I saw a review in What Video which said it was excellent - tho that was back in 2001 for a 4:3 screen.

I'd be looking to get a 16:9 7ft wide screen - at £500 it seems very expensive, but the convenience would make it worthwile if it's a good screen.

Anyone got one of these or tried it out?

    Thanks!

If you do speak to your landlord, bear in mind that a screen that can be rolled either manual or electric will only need to have two drill holes which in the grand scale of things is not that bad is it ?!??!??!??!

Surely thats not a lot to ask - also, tell him you will make the wall good if you ever move on :)

I asked my landlord if I could fix my PJ shelf to the wall and he had no problem as I told him I was having a builder in to do a good job despite the fact that I actually did it.

    Cheers,

    Cap :)
