Was looking around on the Xbox website and came across this:

Microsoft Complete - Xbox One - 2 Year
Covers hardware issues for 3 years from date of device purchase. In the event of a device malfunction, plan provides an Advanced Exchange replacement option at no additional charge (no upfront charge; credit card hold required and charges apply if original unit is not returned). Also covers up to 2 controller replacements during the coverage period. Exclusions apply. Review contract terms and conditions for details.
    GBP 59.99

Anyone think this is worth it :)

Personally, I think it's worth it considering the cost of a new machine.

If you have the money then why not but under EU law are you not covered for longer than 3 years anyway?

it does seem a bargain - until you go to final stage of checkout and they add 23% tax, taking it up to £73!

The EU regs aren't directly applicable here, it's SOGA that we refer to. SOGA covers you for up to 6 years, but it involves a jumping through a lot more hoops than that that policy, or any other typical warranty.

That said, if it is 'Hardware Issues' then SOGA would apply, you'd just need to jump through the hoops. I'd rather do that than pay £60. Well, unless it allows for replacement of controllers which have been thrown after losing a last-minute cheap goal on FIFA... :)

It does seem pretty worth it considering that the old Xbox machines were built with a minor fault which pretty much gave everyone Red Rings of Death, think of it as an investment purchase :)
