Anyone swapped a 1TB disk from Thomson to Pace?

After upgrading my 2.5 year old Thomson to 1TB WD Caviar Green WD10EACS drive and then having to get a refurb power supply from the good satcure folk, caps bulging and box issues, I decided to get a Pace SkyHD as soon as I could.

I now have the Pace SkyHD and will probably use COPY+ to save the 1TB contents... just in case.

The question is, can I just swap the 1TB disk from Thomson to Pace and expect it to work? (Both are big endian so it seems OK to me):lease:

Yes, I have done it.

All of my recording worked perfectly that were made on my Thomson box. No need for copy+ or anything else - just do a straight swap.

Excellent news - I asked the same question on a different forum sometime ago - at the time pace were just appearing so even the copy+ author was unsure.

If, or when, my Thopson box fails it will be a comfort to know I can buy a Pace and swap disks over.

Yeah! It's reassuring to know that my 3 external drives will have a new home, without too much hassle, if my Thomson gives up the ghost.:thumbsup:Hopefully the new Pace will be more reliable and not decide to have a wipe-out when it feels like it ,as the Thomson is prone to do.
