I need two specifically designed pole mounts to hold 15" LCDs.

The mounts need to be some thing like this one here but the problem with this is that the joints are freely mobile.

Since the pole to which they attach iteslf moves in an arc, this mount will cause the monitor to move on the mount by centrifugal force, and possibly be damaged by bumping into other equipment.

Anyone got any ideas of a company that could build something for me, or seen something else suitable? Extensive googling has not really produced anything useful

    Cheers

    Hello vk2003

First off I'd suggest if the monitors are likely to be bumped into then they are in the wrong position and you need to alter your plans!

If they are bumped into then some damped movement may be preferable to no movement - which is likely to result in damage to either the Display or the person bumping into it!

The E-vision range are very good and well damped - see http://www.e-visionuk.co.uk/

    Best regards

    Joe

    Joe,

Thanks for the link. I will call them tomorrow. I agree that a damped system is what I need. The position of the monitors is to be connected to a Dental chair, and hence the possibility that it could be bumped, as the arm to which it connects rotates around the chair. Hence the concern about centrifugal force...

    Cheers

    Hello Vishal

I did wonder what you were up to - having seen a few 'flown' displays in dentists surgeries in the past.

Usually Unicol will not work to a drawing and will insist you ship a sample Display - unless they have already made something to suit your Display.

    See htpp://www.unicol.co.uk

    Best regards

    Joe
