I have a colleague coming over from Canada, and have seen that 'Driven' is on sale for £11.50.

Has anyone seen it? Is it awful?

If you aren't expecting an Oscar winning performance and just want a fast film about fast cars, would it do the job.

I was actually a fan of "Days Of Thunder", so wonder if I might actually enjoy this.

    Any feedback appreciated

Thanks for that.. I hadn't seen the link.

I originally saw the preview in Canada over a year ago, and thought that it looked OK, but a little OTT.

THen I saw the preview again last night in the Cinema and couldn't help enjoying the sound and crashes.

I then wondered if people were taking it too seriously...

For £11.50, it got to be worth a look...

    Thanks for the info.

I am a proud owner of Driven.

Again it's just another boys film spoiled by a stupid love interest (like enemy at the gates).

The best thing about the film is the excellent 5.1 soundstage with loads of load car engines. Also it inculdes a great chase through the Chicago streets in F1 style cars, which was pretty cool

Thanks for the feedback.. I got a mail from my colleague confirming that he got it for $22.99, which works out at £11.50.

    So, its too late now...

    Thanks for the info.

Jon - I've watched it a couple of times now and am certainly glad I bought it.Sure it's not perfect but if you accept it for what it is - pure eye candy/no-brainer popcorn movie - then you won't be disappointed.

As already mentioned the sound and picture quality is reference standard and the disc has some nifty extras including 50 minutes of deleted scenes.

    At £11 it's a steal! ;)

Agree 100% m8. It's a "switch brain off" movie that is perfect for showing off what your AV system can do.
It rocks on my Tag gear. Best sounding DVD I've got (so far).

Anyone still wanting to order this might also want to consider the DTS Region 3 version!
It's only about £8.70 including delivery from www.dddhouse.com

If the Dolby Dogital soundtrack is anything to go by the DTS version should be awesome!

Well, i bought it and have to say that it was awful.

The effects were dire. The CGI was badly implemented and the film couldn't make it's mind up whether it was F1 or Cart.

The state of the track for the so called German Grand Prix was laughable.
