After all the excitement of Saturday night TV, I decided to trawl through my "unwatched" DVD's for something to watch.

Ended up watching The Dam Busters, which then brought to mind a TV series that used to be on I think during the mid-70's called (I think) Pathfinders, which was about a Lancaster Bomber Squadron during WWII - I really don't remember much more than that about the series, except that I think it was on ITV.

Ring a bell with anyone out there?

Yes, I do remember the series but can't remember any specific moments !

Certainly would tune in if it was on TV Gold.

    Yes - me too.

It's amazing that programmes, get shown the once, and forgotten!

But how often do you hear complaints about the endless repeats?

Thanks for the links suzywong - wow didn't realise it was from 1972 - I was 9!

I know I was completely in love with WWII RAF stuff at the time, and had the Airfix kits to prove it, but this programme has somehow staid in my memory for all these years although I can't really remember the specifics.

I recall it did get repeated in the London area a few years later, as a later afternoon pre-childrens hour filler.

Looking through the list of actors who appeared, was quite interesting; Dennis Waterman (who probably wanted to "write the theme tune, sing the theme tune"), Kate O'Mara, Jane Seymour, Rutger Hauer, Bernard "M" Lee, a pre-Corrie Johnny Briggs, Christopher Timothy, Antony "Raffles" Valentine, the list goes on!

I'd love to get a look-see at this again. Was it ever released on Video?
