My TV viewing has suddenly dried right up !

Buffy and Angel are gone forever, and the recent series' of 24 and Alias have now ended.
John Doe and Jake 2.0 were killed off before their time (IMHO), and so I'm left with very little to watch now :thumbsdow
I've got season 2 of Smallville on DVD to plough through, but at this rate it won't last me long !

Does anybody know of any upcoming shows that might appeal to my tastes ?

    Ian.

    I thought you wanted decent Sci-Fi? :)

Anyway keep a look out for "Taken" which you can buy on DVD

    Ho Ho :)

Yeah, I saw Taken when it was on BBC2/BBC3 - not bad, but wouldn't buy it on DVD.
Same goes for Kingdom Hospital - managed to stick with it to the end, but more through a lack of anything else to watch.........

Anybody know if Carnivale has been picked up in this country yet ?
Or when the new series of Dead Like Me starts ?

At least The Dead Zone is back on in September

As you mention Buffy & Angel, have you seen "Firefly"?

I bought the DVD set blind and didn't regret it at all - one of the best series I've seen in a long time and a real shame it was cancelled so early in its' run and never given a proper chance to find its audience. At least we've got the film to look forward to.

Carnivale is going to be on FX289, not sure of the date.

Firefly is a must for a scifi fan especially for someone who liked Joss Whedons other work:)

If your up for some 'classic' SciFi then how about some BBC fare such as Blakes 7, Survivors, Tripods or Doctor Who (catch up on the Daleks before they return in a new guise!). There is the 'Planet Of The Apes' TV series as well - or am I showing my age

On a more modern note I fully agree with whoever said Firefly was well worth getting! :smashin: Steer clear of Andromeda though :thumbsdow

You're right, he did want decent Sci-Fi! So why did you tell him to get Taken  ;)

Event Horizon is a "cool" thriller, worth a watch. As is Pitch Black

Stargate Atlantis and Stargate SG-1 season 8 kick some major ass! If you like Stargate, look more into this.

    Cheers Guys !

I have seen Firefly - watched it when it was on Sci-Fi Channel. Top stuff, but then its Joss Whedon, so that almost goes without saying !!

Never tried Stargate and never been a Star Trek fan............might give Stargate a couple of episodes though, can't do any harm !

Some of the older stuff might be worth a look too I suppose.

And I still live in hope of some Angel TV movies.... :lease:

and like I said, there's Dead Zone season 3 and also Smallville season 3 to look forward to in the Autumn

You may not like tradtional star trek but i would thoroughly recommend giving Deep SPace Nine a whirl. It is very different from the usual star trek fare. Gittier characters who dont get along, more war, mpore violence. I never watche din on TV and recently caught in on dvd and was pleasantly suprised.
