The best sub cables at sensible prices are those made by Mark Grant and sold in the Powerbuy forum here

I bought a 5m monsterBass400 Cable on E-Bay from America, which included a Y-Splitter for less than £30 including shipping.

This really tightened up the Bass and removed some of the Boominess on my Kef 2005.2 system.

I bought a QED Qontour MP-SW as it's only 2.5mm thick and should be easy to hide round my carpet. £53.99 (I think) for 10.0m version. Got it from www.hificables.co.uk . I can't tell you if it's any good sound wise as my sub aint here yet (T-minus three hours  until it lands at Heathrow but who's counting?) but if the rest of the QED range is anything to go by, it will do me fine. Most of my cables are QED. I saw Profigold jobs at www.audiovisualonline.co.uk which were quite cheap and they seem to be good quality for the money. I got Profigold cables for my mates when I was setting up their kit and they're good vfm. :D

The QED cables are good. A 6m PSW lead will cost you about £40 and a 6m SRSW will cost you £80.

    Bish,

With a sub cable, screening is the most important factor. You don't want your cable to pick up interference from mains electricity and produce an audible hum.

    Cheers

Samir - Unfortunately its difficult for me to compare as my G Snake is 3m whilst the Scorpion was 6m - no problems as such - however I do get a slightly punchier bass with the Audioquest and a bit more bass overall. The Scorpion is in the classifieds if you want another one !

I used to get 5db gain in volume when using a Y-splitter on my old B&W asw2500, not sure if it's the same on your 750

    Nah you don't.

I did have to turn the sub down when I got the Audioquest but I can recall by how much. I have a feeling it might have been 3-4db. As I said its probably unfair to compare a 6m cable with a 3m one.
