Hi - after buying and returning a HD600X-LV DLP projector due to really bad rainbow effect I am looking for help finding a good LCD projector. I can't seem to find any decent reviews for LCD projectors under around the £800 - £1500 mark but my budget is more like the £400 - £600 mark!

Amy suggestions appreciated - looking to play movies and ps3 a couple of times a week so minimum 720p I guess and the quieter the better! Cheers.

Epson EH-TW450 review | Expert Reviews

The only new 720p lcd that is in your budget range is the Epson TW450 which should be available for around £500.It has no lens shift though which for an LCD is unusual however neither does the Optoma so that should not be a problem to you.

Hi thanks for that - yip there's not much for my budget, thinking maybe a plasma would be a better idea, if the tw-3200 would only come down to around £600 I'd be laughing.

You could always get a second hand TW3200 I have seen them go for £600 approx with only low hours and still 2+ yrs warranty remaining.

I have a TW-480 and it's really good. Comparable to DLP in brightness. The lack of lens shift did surprise me a little, but it has extensive keystone correction so it's not really a problem. Unless there's some disadvantage to doing that which I'm not aware of?

Ok - what would you recommend between the tw450 or the tw480?
