    Hi all

Can anyone recommend a decent dvd recorder which include the things listed below:

    1) + & - recording
    2) multi region or easily hackable
    3) hard disk
    4) works well & easily with sky+ (need to archieve from sky+)
    5) divx playback (if possible)
    6) HDMI out (if possible)

I appreciate this may be a tall order especially with the HDMI out bit but this is not essential.

My budget would be approx. upto £400

If anyone does have any recommendation could you also link to some reviews / pics etc.

I have been looking at the sony range & no other manufacturers so i may be missing something thats available.

Any help would be gratefully recieved.

    cheers
    jason

I believe the new panasonic EH55 would fit the bill (- HDMI), for further info, please search this forum/google. IF HDMI is essential then you might consider the bigger brother EH65
    hope this helps

Got the JVC 300 , it doesn"t record to +r, no divx and its noisy unless you have it situated in a unit.

If you want to do all this stuff, I would seriously reccomend getting a 'media center' - there are a lot of nice ones out today...

It would also play all formats of video, be upgradeable when HDDVD/Bluray/whatever comes out, and of course the Hard Disc can be exchanged, swapped, added to whenever you want...

The LG 7900 may fit your requirements....I recently bought one of the 7500 models via Comet but they since seem to have run out of stock.

Works well with Sky+,easy to use,and as far as I can see,the 7900 has HDMI also.
