    just wondering.

If yes, how does it play? Is it getting better? or is it typical FIFA?

Looks good, if a little plodding. Looking for a new footy game.

For the ultimate football game, you really need Pro Evolution Soccer. IMHO, FIFA doesn't compare. It's a PS2 game, soon to be available on PC (beginning November) and there are rumours of an Xbox version.

I have it and really like it.

So far I'm about half way through my first season with Liverpool. Nothing divides critical opinion more than the debate between which football title is best, pro evo or fifa. But I'd recommend it. If you want superb graphics and a title that screams pick up and play then fifa will make you smile.

In my opinion, people who prefer pro evo need to get out more :p :rotfl:

Yep worth it as it has Portsmouth in the premiership this season !

We might not be there in the 2005 edition :(

Personally I think Fifa 2004 is worse than 2003.

It feels sluggish and doesn't play right (still).

Crap is the first word that springs to mind.

FIFA 2004 appears to be better than 2003 but the Off The Ball stuff just over complicates the game. And the pace is still to slow.
If you have a PS2 get Pro Evo 3. If you only have an Xbox go and buy ISS2.

Get the PC version of PES, its 10 times better than Fifa 2004 which is ok but does not feel anything like real football, the Advantage of getting PES on PC is within the first couple of weeks there will be loads of patches to make all the teams and players official.

I hired out Fifa 2004 from the local blockbuster - I only played it for a few hours, but I didn't find it as playable as 2003.

I can't quite put my finger on it - but it didn't feel right - and there is the awful music! Luckily you can rip your own tunes though!
