From the serial no. it looks like my old unit that I traded in against a krell a couple of months ago... would explain the 5mth warranty... what its doing at £500 I dunno... guess some people assume its on Ebay so it must be cheap.

Original price £1295? I take it this guy is having a laugh! If it was bought recently (with 5 months warranty you would assume that it was bought after Tag anounced it was ending production) I doubt if he paid anymore than £400 for it brand new. I only paid £500 for a brand new 60irv which also has about 5 months warranty remaining.

Am I not correct in thinking that the 60i actually retailed for around £470 for several years having been reduced from an original price of £800? Happy to be corrected on any of the above.

Maybe he should have said original price £2000 and set his reserve at £1000? :rotfl:

I got it ex-dem for £650 when the price was £800 they cut the price to £500 a few months later. I had it for about 5 yrs. (Although thanks to city link being inept I got a new unit with the plain cardboard box). The warranty (if it is my old unit) is from hifi retailer where I traded it about 6mths ago. They flogged it on ebay themselves with a 6mth warranty and a month later its back up for sale. Gotta say that the retailer listed the price in their ad as being £1295... I'm a little confused by the bid history... who is he bidding against to make the price go up?

    Hi Harv,

Maybe increased bids until the reserve was met?

There are two DVD32Rs listed in the US on eBay at the moment. The one that appeared yesterday (item 5812881289) has a photo I am sure I have seen before and the seller's user ID is hown as registered in Spain though the unit is said to be in the US. I queried this and got back the following: "i dont really know as the item is not mine, i think there has been some sort of mix up, contact e bay as i dont sell anything i buy things, sorry".
Sounds like another case of eBay identity theft. I have the impression that the percentage of questionable TAG items on eBay has definitely risen recently. shame because although I already have a DVD32FLR for the right price I'd add a non-PSM DVD32R for CD replay in a separate room.

Hi Bushy and congrats on the successful T32R purchase - well done! I did read your post with interest but I live in California and although I imported my DVD32FLR successfully direct from IAG I am unwilling to take the transportation risk on a used DVD32R from the UK, so I continue to monitor the market over here. The CD replay of these units with a TAG processor truly does stand the test of time...
