A friend of mine got some GR20's off loot not to long ago (I know you've probably checked, but, hey) and E-bay occasionally turns up some good stuff.

I shall keep my eyes open for you, a pair will probably turn up at the local used hi fi shop. Trouble is thats probably just after you have bought something else

hi buns

there is a second hand pair of A2's at Weymouth hifi (around £500 i think) and Hyperfi are showing the entire A series including B stock A3's in black at £799. There are a pair of MA 20 SEC's at vickers hifi in York according to their webpage(£1300ish i think).

I am putting off calling hyperfi as I really would like to buy from a dealer if possible - and besides does anyone know what b stock really means - ok- they are returns, cosmetic flaws etc - but how good were celestion about refurbishing them??? In my experience different companies have very different attitudes to their own b stock goods.

If you find a decent source let me know!!!

The definitive audio was unfortiunately a misprint. They were actually A2's. I feel the A2's are a little bit of a mismatch for the A1's, the A3's are far more alike i think. So im going to keep my eye out for A3's yet (or change entirely to MA's).

I would agree not fancying hyperfi......but maybe i migh be stuck with it! They never used to have a website, do the have one now?
