do you folks know of any ICE magazines that review/recommend ICE hardware ?
mmmm.. in my ice days i used to buy Car Stereo and security, which became Car Stereo Magazine i think. it wasnt the best for reviews, but was a cert for Techies like myself
There are loads, go down ur local WHSmiths.........
theres one called car audio(or something like that) in smiths near me so ill supose they have it everywhere dont no what its like just seen it
Due to the fact that car audio is such a niche market and the expansion of the internet there's only one ICE mag now - Total Car Audio - and it's a load of bs as far as i'm concerned.
I think you'd be better checking the following forums
www.caraudiodirect.com/forum (great UK site)
www.elitecaraudio.com - there's a forum there (US site)
www.soundomain.com - again a US site with a forum
www.termpro.com - ditto before
Hope that helps,
car audio direct probably have the best UK forum.
what information do you require as I've had one very high end install and had some very nice components installed at the start of the year in a custom front end build
They may but very view posts are every answerd, I use to use that forum ( i go under the name of "Diesel or Diesel uk" on most forums) and the answer or assistance people give is very poor.
I suggest you google for reviews or even ask on this forum. Most of us here have got our hands dirty with most headunits/dvd media.
I was thinking in WH Smiths yestrday that it is strange that no ICE magazine longer exists.
Total Car Audio is long gone and Max Power's attempt only lasted one issue and sales mus have been so low that they gave free unsold copies away with the main mag.
In a country of sixty million, is there really not enough people interested in ICE and willing to buy a mag to not make it viable?
The problem is largely down to retailers like WH Smiths cutting their selection of publications. This obviously has a knock on effect of massively reduced circulation and therefore not enough sales to be economicaly viable to continue.
Here is a new Online Car audio Magazine recently started.
