Hi there, does anyone know of any DVD players that have the Faroudja DCDI deinterlacing chip and also has a SCART socket.

I am assuming that I can feed my H30 a progressive signal via RGB from SCART, anyone care to comment if this is so please.

    Regards, MikeD

Thats news to me, I thought the most basic cable to pass a progressive signal was component *3 phono jacks.
Ive never heard of progressive through a SCART...

Although I think I can hear the sound of someone about to prove me wrong...

Progressive signal does does not pass through SCART. Best signal from SCART is RGB, which is interlaced.

As stated in the previous reply, you would need to feed the prog scan feed into the component jacks on the plasma.

Philips 963SA (amongst others) has Faroudja DCDi (via component).
The new Samsung HD935 also has the Faroudja chip, and can output upto 1080i through its DVI connection :D

The New Denon's all have Faroudja de-interlacers, they should be out in a few months.
I wonder why they have abandoned Silicon Image?
