My kit is housed in a cupboard under the TV and at the moment I have to leave the door open to get the remotes for the AMP, DVD and FREEVIEW box to work.

I've seen devices in a hotel that allow a remote sensor to pick up the IR signal from whichever remote is being used and transfered to the device which is hidden elsewhere and out of sight of the remote. I can't find what they are called to do a search to find out where to buy them...

Thanks for your help in advance.

Take a look at www.Keene.co.uk and their IR Remote Extenders under the Products menu. I have exactly the same as you, amp and freeview in a cupboard, and this box works a treat. Plus you can get extra cables later.

I was just about to post a thread to ask the same question.
    Excellent.
