Anyone know if the PS5 will play 3D bluray?

I'm 99%certain it won't. The series x doesn't either. Neither do dv off disc too by all accounts.

PS4 had 3d playback added as a firmware update about a year after release in 2014.

Unfortunately 3D has pretty much died now, I seriously think it's unlikely they will bother on the PS5.

Best bet would be to buy a stand alone 3d blu player, they are probably available for peanuts nowadays. I still have mine from 2012, but my TV isn't 3D.

Maybe I’ll just keep the old noisy PS4 for blurays if I have to.
I still love 3d on my 136” projector screen
