There seem to be a number of SACDs available I would dearly love to own but the problems with SACD multi-channel standards are causing me not to purchase them...

Has anyone looked into converting a SACD disk to DD5.1 or DTS? If I could do that I wouldn't mind buying a nice big back-catalogue :smashin:

DD5.1 and DTS are not DVD-A...so which are you proposing?

I'm not sure what exactly you're suggesting - to do it on a computer and burn DVDs from SACD multichannel tracks?

Good luck, you need to get a computer drive to read SACD tracks first, which - to my knowledge - is not available at this moment.

I wanted to be able to listen to multi channel SACD tracks without buying a new DVD player and adding a ton more cabling to my system...

Although if its impossible to read SACD on a PC, my idea is a non-starter :(

What problems with SACD multi-channel standards do you mean?
