Not selling just yet testing the water (as you all know this is not the place to sell), my HTPC is 12 months old and is rock solid stable i am thinking about upgrading to a new scaler this is the spec:

    Standard Tower cost £25.00
    Asus P4 B553 mobo £cost £85.00
    P4 1.6 ghz cost £80.00
    512 DDR memory cost £50.00
Zalman Flower CNPS6500B-AlCu Silent Pentium IV CPU Cooler cost £25.00
20 gig harddrive (i think its Maxtor) cost £45.00
    XP Pro cost £90.00
    Powerstrip
    ATI 3.9 Cat drivers
Radeon 9500 (Mike Parker MP1 Mod) it can be removed the vga output is disables DVI enabled if the mod is removed the vga will function perfectly. cost £375.00
    http://www.wahoocomputers.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?product=radeon

Holograph 1 Card with stream Zap remote. cost £550.00
    http://www.immersiveinc.com/products_holo3d.html

I would prefere to sell whole but will split the specilist bits and maybe sell a bare boned computer

any feed back would be appreciated

Just as an indication i would be looking for approx £800.00 as a complete package, just as an exersise this machine has set me back approx £1600.00 in 12 months

    Hi Mate,

I'm interested to know more about the MP-1 modded Radeon card. I had a look on the weblink but it doesn't say whether it is a DVI output or not also you mention HDMI, I wonder if this would work with my DVI board on my Panny 6 at it's 852x480 native resolution (my current Radeon doesn't). Can you confirm? Also if you were to sell as a separate component, what price would you be looking for?

    Cheers,

    Steve

Tell me, Richard, why do you want a souped-up analog output when there's DVI available? What application do you have for an RGB connection?

Also, can you explain the HDMI reference, as a Radeon on its own doesn't have an HDMI connector. I'm confused  but interested. :)

Not 100% but he does say the Radeon is a modified version so maybe it has been upgraded to include a HDMI connection.

Will take the MP1 modded board if you are willing to split at the right price.

There's no mention on the MP-1 page about HDMI and the picture certainly shows connections being made to the VGA output, looks like some sort of RGB->Component conversion perhaps?

Um, yes, didn't think of that.

my mistake it is it is the dvi output (my mind must of been on another planet)
At this stage i would rather sell as a whole if i do sell seperatly i will let you know an indication of what i paid was £125 for the radeon 9500 and the MP1 mod was about $340.00 (£250.00)

    KraGorn
Basically i use SDI output from my dvd player in to the sdi input of the holograph card, the hmdi was an error i meant DVI output of the radeon, the mp1 mod has 5 bnc's rgb hv sync feed in to the barco 808.The vga is disabled whilst the dvi is active for use for say a monitor in my case, the mod make a big difference to using the standard card which is very good in its own right.

    Big Adam
    you are perfectly correct

    :)

    dannyc
as yet i dont have a price in mind when i do i will post it in the classifield and give both you and madders first refusal

Any more for any more, the reason for the potential sale is to get a dedicated scaler to make it more user friendly for the wife and kids

i can demo for you local folk !!!!

    cheers

    Rich,
What scaler are you replacing the HCPC with?
Interested in the MP1 could do a trade with my 5 bnc modded Radeon + cash adjustment.
    LMK.
    Cheers.

Hi Tim long time no see, hows tricks mate?

i am thinking of getting a Lumagen VisionPro SDI, so i wont need your card mate, if you were to buy the 9500 radeon mp1 and the holograph together i think i would do that and then buy a ati 9000 and sell the computer as a whole for about £225.00
but i would be looking for £500 for the mp1 and the holograph card
    cheers

    Fatrich,

I'll give you £200 for the MP1 radeon if that helps. I already have a Holo so unfortunately have no need for yours.

If think i would be looking for £250.00 mate and £250.00 for the Holograph card (which is no good to you) it doesnt make any sense at this stage to part with just one item, obviously i need the funds to buy the new scaler and selling the MP1 on its owns today without selling the Holograph, if i can potentially raise £500.00 or so from those 2 items in the next week or so then i will sell.

If you want to pay the £250 and know any one who is interested in the hd3 card then i will place it in the classified section of these forums.
If any one else wishes to register interest in any part of my HTPC please let me know

    cheers

This obviously isn't a trading forum & as this thread is now clearly turning into trading/negotiation, I'm closing it.

Please open a thread in the hardware classifieds.
