I have ordered a TAG DVD player, awaiting confirmation. Once I get it, I will be selling my Arcam DV27A player. It is only 3 months old so has most of it's 5 yr warranty. It is in excellent condition and is Silver

Would anyone be interested?, if not it goes on Ebay :smashin:

    Probably looking for £850

If you're selling this for sure, then it should go in the classifieds.

    Few questions though:

    1) Did you buy this new or ex-dem/second-hand?
    2) Have you still got the warranty card?
    3) Do you still have the receipt?

Pah, if you'd asked this last week, I'd have snatched it from you. But alas, I went and purchased one on Saturday. Over 2 hrs drive (each way) and cost me more than your asking price ... :(
Oh well ... I love it anyway

    Highlander,
If I was you I'd watch a queue form if/when you move it to classifieds, including myself.
I'm surprised you did'nt put it on there first, especially as everyone is still singing it's praises.
I bet I miss it when you move to classifieds, I keep missing things on there!

P.S. Why the TAG? Is it a dramatic improvement?

    Steve.

According to a previous thread you were having problems with it. Did you find a fix?

My original post stated that I had to wait for my replacement to be confirmed. not confirmed yet, within the next 10 days max

next, I have never posted anything about the pic jumping on the ARCAM

I am assuming that someone is confusing me with someone else

    Regards

    John

Really? You posted the following on 2 Dec:

"Had a Sony 9000ES DVD player. I have now bought an 27A.

When I had the SONY, I could play DVDs that I made of my 2 yr old. The DVDs sony are DVD +RW AND -RW. Now, when I play them on the ARCAM, the pic jumps about and the player struggles to play the DVD.

Is there anything I can check on the player"

Don't I feel like the fool

I forgot all about that post as the DVD in question was a homemade one that I re-created using a different process and everything was fine

I have never had any issue with branded film DVDs :smashin:

Something odd is happening here. Highlander denied posting anything about "pic jumping" even though my query had only mentioned "problems". Only when I copied his original post did he admit having done so. I would advise anyone contemplating buying this item to bear in mind that fine old expression "Caveat emptor"...

I have held my hands up to the post that I posted on Dec 2nd

Bernard. If you do not trust me, then don't buy the DVD.

I am more than happy to demo the said player to anyone who wishes to buy it and lives within a reasonable distance to my house

Finally, if I don't sell it in the classified section. It will go on Ebay where I have 100% rep having sold 65 items to include other DVD players for example a high end SONY 9000ES DVD player. No complains from the buyer
