Does anyone near Nottingham have a Momitsu/Brainwave V880 DVD player?

The reason I ask is that I'm having issues with the DVI out of mine to my projector.

I know of others who have used the V880 with the same projector and a similar clone of it. So it should work.

I was hoping to find someone local who would let me try theirs with my projector to see if the projector or V880 is at fault.

    Any kind souls out there?

    Cheers
    Marc

    Hi Marc ..

I would be more than happy to lend you mine but unfortunately we're not exactly in the same neighbourhood :(

Are you still not able to use the DVI cable ??

Hope you find that "kind soul" to sort you out :D

If not, give Nichimen a ring and try to speak with Axel Mack ... he could maybe send you a replacement part free of charge as he offered to do the same to me ....

    Cheers,

    Pedro

We're not even in the same country are we?!

Are Nichmen the people who badge the Brainwave?

/edit/ A search reveals it is 'Nichimen' and they are the Brainwave suppliers.

Talking to them has to be worth a try.

    Cheers
    Marc

    Marc,

Not on your doorstep, but not quite as far as Portugal :D

You're more than welcome to pop over with your player/cable/projector and test them on my kit. As you know, I have the Epson, so not too different from your set up.

Only problem is that my PJ is ceiling mounted (LMP, different mount than the Yamaha), so to test my cable on your PJ will require you holding your PJ in the air so that it reaches my cable. :)

I'll have the beers chilled. :smashin:
