I loved it too. The ranger had to be my favourite character. His magical energy bow was tops!

No, no one remembers that. Possibly because you imagined it while under the influence of psychotropic drugs. :)

Hey, I remember that Nintendo one. It was pretty bad, as I recall.

Dungeons and Dragons, on the other hand, was pure gold if you were a D&Der. (especially the ep with Warduke!)

I was lucky enough to find a channel in the US that broadcast it regularly a few years back, so I recorded most of the episodes, but lent the tape to a friend who lost it!

I'd love to have a copy of the whole series on DVD.

D&D was cool, the ranger was my favorite too. Id like to see it again. Which is why I bought he-man last week, what a classic cartoon that was.

They don't make em like they used to.

Slightly off-topic, and I'll probably get creamed for saying this, but I actually like the new He-Man cartoons. Lots of fighting, and all the old favorites are in the show.

Definitely agree with Azrikam, the new series of He-Man is really good.

And one episode even has a moral at the end!

CNX (or Toonami) was showing it pretty much nonstop a couple of months ago. Often the same episode all day, which kind of boggles the mind. I haven't checked lately, but they should still be broadcasting it. Not sure about any other channels. Maybe the Cartoon Network?

The wizard guy was a bit crap though. I seem to remember him cocking up all his spells and pulling stupid things out of his hat in the heat of battle. I think the rest of the party should have dumped him.

The dungeon master was a cool little guy I remember. The wizard was a whining useless guy but every now and then he'd do something useful. Didn't the Ranger fire magic arrows? And there was a good looking girl, can't remember what she did (turned invisible I think). All in all I remember loving it, would really like to see it again.

I think Eric was the one with a suit or armour and a shield not the wizard but I could be wrong.

One of the girls had a hooded cloak that turned her invisible, whilst the other one had magic type staff that she used for acrobatics.

    The wizard was presto.

My favourite episdoes was the one with The Labyrinth called Vengers Maze of Darkness, in the episode The Girl Who Dreamed Tomorrow.

I also liked the episode The Dragon's Graveyard with Tiamat the Dragon. He was cool with all those different heads.

All this talk, makes me want to see it again.

Wasn't Hank the Ranger, Presto the wizard, Eric the Knight and Bobby the Barbarian. I'd like to see it again too now.

Yep, those are the names as I remember them. When I watched it a couple years back, I was surprised at how good some of the stories were. Sure, the show has its share of bad puns and comic relief, but it also had some pretty serious stuff mixed in.

The Girl Who Dreamed Tomorrow was excellent.

    Captain N: The Games Master

Pretty good, but doesn't beat D&D. I have to say Eric was the best character, everyone else was just a bit too goody goody.

What happened at the end of the series though ?

Did they ever get back to their world ?

I can remeber an episdoe where they saw some portal and glimpsed their world (wasn't it a funfair rollercoaster ride or something), but didn't make it through.

He was also voiced by Donny Most the guy from Happy Days Ralph Malph.
