I've got a Rega Planar 3 from the early 90s. It's fitted with a grey Rega cartridge which isn't in Rega's current line-up.

Anybody happen to know what it is (the cartridge), if it's any good and what its equivalent in the current Rega line-up would be?

Long shot, I know, but someone on here might just know...

It might be the RB100. Current equivalent is the BIAS. :- REGA homepage Which isn't bad for the money.

    Thanks, Overkill.

I tried the customer service e-mail address and they sent me the following reply:

"That cartridge is still current, it is the REGA Elys, only the body colour has changed it is now purple and retails for £99.00 in the UK."

It was the colour that threw me! Thanks for taking the trouble to respond - much appreciated.

So I now know my Planar 3 has an RB300 arm and an Elys cartridge - so it shoudl be worth a few quid!
