    Does anyone know ??

...... the actual overall external dims (not the screen size) of the :

    1.Panna TH-42PE30 and
    2. Pioneer PDP-434HDE ?

this includes the dims with the speakers.

basically I am trying to work out if either of these will fit into a wall recess that I have that measures 139cm wide.

Other than that I will have to settle for the Panna TH-37PE30 ....althought the viewing distance will be 10 Ft so the 37" might be better anyway ??

    cheers

    From the Panasonic Website:

    TH-42PE30B:
    Dimensions (W x H x D) - 1140 x 757 x 99mm
    Weight - 41kg

    TH-37PE30B:
    Dimensions (W x H x D) - 1040 x 697 x 99mm
    Weight - 34.5kg

Sorry dunno about the Pioneer dimensions but it looks like the 42" Viera will fit in your 139cm gap though.

The Pioneer is wider (112cm), so long as you mount the speakers along the bottom instead of on the sides it will easily fit into 139cm width

Didn't realise that the 434HDE was 'so small' and the speakers could be mounted at the bottom. What is the height of the unit with speakers mounted at the bottom? Off topic, but what about the MXE1?

I have an area within a shelf unit of 1170x700 which is limiting my screen size options. How much ventilation clearance do these things need?

    Thanks

    Ian:

434HDE page http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/product_detail.jsp?product_id=5588&taxonomy_id=62-63 dims at very bottom section.

    MXE1 is slightly slimmer at 1070 x 630 x 98.

Not sure on height (or indeed width) of HDE with speakers, the speakers themselves are under 3" or so wide. Allow for a convection flow to pass easily from bottom to top of panel rather than side to side, although Fujitsu do say to allow 4" on all sides.
