Sorry, this wasn't meant to be a request for tickets, just a general moan at my bad luck.I agree entirely with E-bay's decision to withdraw all tickets.Anyone who applied and doesn't go will surely miss one of the greatest gigs ever and will hopefully regret it for the remainder of their sad lives!

    There,I feel better now :D

Yup. I'm in exactly the same boat. Not completely giving up home until the end of tomorrow. I'd sent one text, but when PF were announced I gave it another go for good measure, but no luck for me, or my other half for that matter.

Feeling a tad on the gutted side, but wasn't holding out that much hope.

Seen the Rogerless Pink Floyd many times and in similar way always said that if Roger rejoined them I'd queue as long as it took and pay what ever was needed.
I'd sent one text prior to the PF announcement at which point I sent another four. Dunno which one did it but got the winning text last night and logged onto the Live8 site with code :) Tickets being posted. I trust my local postie more than the spotty oiks in the O2 shops with my tickets!

Getting these sort of helps me deal with one of my life long regrets that I guess everyone has in one sort or another...
Picture the scene back in 85.. a friend of mine spent ages on the phone trying to get the original Live Aid tickets. Finally he got through and bought the max six allowed if I recall correctly. On asking me if I wanted one I replied something like (and it still haunts me..)
"No thanks.. I don't think it's worth £25. With that many bands they'll only be on for 15mins or so and it'll be rubbish"
D'oh as a certain yellow animated chap would say!

Man, I can see why you were desperate to make amends. Were I in your situation I would probably go through a ritual of bashing my head hard against the wall on every Live Aid anniversary since!!! :suicide: :)

My brother got 2 tickets

He went to clear his holiday with his work (does a lot of weekends) and they said no can do. He's affered me and my wife the tickets.

But I've also been invited to my mates 30th Birthday (I've known this girl for 20 years). It's in london, not far from Hyde park, so we can probably hear it anyway.

Dilemma. Don't know what to do.

Pink floyd get on my goat.

If the line up started with:

    Joss Stone
    Razorlight
    Dido (Keep the Mrs happy)
    Coldplay
    Keane
    Muse
Scissor Sisters (Another one for the Mrs)
    Stereophonics
    Travis
    The Killers

I could then leave and join the party.
