Just bought 'Stargate - Directors Cut' from HMV along with 'Pitch Black' in their 2 for £20 offer. Anyway, I've just opened Stargate and there's no insert, just one of those 'Momentum Pictures' postcards. Can anyone tell me what's missing (if anything). If it's just a one sheet chapter list like you normally get then I think I'll be able to cope without. But if it's some sort of booklet, that's different...

    Cheers in advance!

Nowt in mine either. As it should be. I don't want pieces of paper when I'm spending money on a digital hardware piece of technology.

You would not believe how much I had to go back on that sentence to make sure it was Engkish after what I've had to drink!

Drink a bit more Pointon and you'll get to the drink yourself dry stage and realise it's a piece of digital software media!!:p

The Directors Cut of Stargate is a total shambles. They have added deleted scenes but have made no attempt to clean them up at all. They look like bad VHS quality recorded of channel 5. The rest of it looks and sound fine, just the added scenes really spoilt the overall enjoyment for me.

Well this morning I'm going back over this place and trying to remember when I actually made these posts.

I think I'll leave it up there as a lesson to myself not to spend eight hours in the pub next Sunday.

I prefer the old laser disc version. It may not have the extra few bits of footage, but the quality is a lot better. Especially the sand storm scenes.

I only wish they would clean it up and re release it. Then i might be tempted to buy it.
