What Video news on their web site heralds the new Philips DVP9000S.
Now that the Panny S97 is as rare as hen's teeth. :(
Is this the next best thing?
I persauded my parents to buy an S97, while it has a good picture the menu system sucks (ruling out the S49), and maybe the Philips will be better in this respect.
Or will the Philips fall apart if you sneeze at the wrong time?

Surfing, brings up prices around £299.

I feel differently about the Panny's menu system - it's pretty reasonable considering the amount of settings there are! And it's far and away better than the Philips' menu, which is so... awkward. ;)
