Even my wife loves it. It is very addictive and the best console golf game I have played so far.

    Great game play options...

I LOVED Tw2002 on the PS2 and was thinking about getting 2003, is there much difference and is it worth spending another £40 if its pretty much the same game...

Look at the thread about the top 10 games of all time and you'll see I've named Tiger Woods Golf into first position, what makes the game so great IMO is the fantastic swing action on the controller. A PC can never hope to match this level of gameplay in a golf game, I hope this will turn into a FIFA franchise and we'll get sequels every year but I honestly don't know how they could improve on this game...........perhaps the spectators could be made with more than 3 polygons and 4 sprites  :D

P.S - I got a hole in one on St Andrews today, I saved the shot for posterity

I have always been a fan of EA's PGA golf games. I just loved PGA on the megadrive and still play even though it is some 13 years old!!!

I agree that this is the most addictive version yet and the swing is superb. Just wait until the online tournies, that should be something else!!

Yes the game is worth £40, but why pay that if it only costs £34 including delivery from www.play.com

    Cheers,

What's the lowest round you guys have achieved in a Tournament, I got 51 on St Andrews. I didn't do so well on Torrey Pines though, the tough pin positions and banked Greens really tested me

Mac, ordered the games last thursday lunchtime, and i received them yesterday (tuesday) :D

Yes, Ive got an ordinary PAL gamecube, no mods required.

My advice, place your order right now so you get them by xmas - i would also opt for the DHL 4 day international delivery option :)

Gosh, how do you guys do it...

Have you got anytime to go outside and get some fresh air, enjoy the Xmass Carols or perhaps play a round of real golf....

    Very impressive nevertheless...

After a few days of huming and hawing I decided to go for TW2003, after playing TW2002 to death and completing everything I just wondered how much different it can be.

First impressions were good, although it did take a while to get used to the player again since in TW2002 my player's stats were at the max. The main difference to the gameplay I found was the putting (for the better I may add) feels a lot smoother and it is more differcult which is a good thing IMHO.

Other parts of the game have been vastly improved, must more tournaments/scenarios and lots more bonuses as well as an improved Tiget Challenge. Graphics have not improved to much although as I said before the gameplay does seem a lot smoother. Music on the otherhand is great.

All in all a great game, one when you have played you won't go back to 2002...

Bought this yesterday and was up til the early hours this morning playing it......love it!

Can't get anywhere near the distances quoted on here for driving but i suppose as my cash increases i will be able to buy more power!

Finished off the first three contestants on the Tiger challenge, got my stiff shaft (ooerr) and looking forward to getting the mrs completely drunk so she goes to sleep and i can play some more!

    Great game!

Steve,I agree a brill game and you had better start stacking up the cash to buy that power because you wiil notice a big difference. Tip.... try bouncing the ball off of rocks ect to get those big drives in. Have fun.

We've been playing it constantly since we got it Boxing Day. Excellent game.

Best Drive is about 317yds and best putt is 70ft, best score was 12 under on Saint Andrews (though my girlfriend scored 16 under).

I wonder whether the choice of character has any impact on how far you drive it (we're both playing the two female characters - with the Driving stat bumped upto around 52).

If you use your own profile to play you start with low stats of something like 30/10/10/10/10/10 but you can buy more and more stats as you progress. I'm now on 100/100/100/100/100/85 but that's with a total of $11 million in earnings I think so you have to be patient. With those stats though I can drive a distance of 306 yds without any power boost, with max boost I average about 355-365 and my biggest drive is 395 yds when the wind was 19mph in a forward direction on St Andrews. The two most important stats to build up IMO are Power and Spin but others like my brother prefer Power and Putting.

I'm not sure if choosing a female profile/character means your drive will be shorter but my guess is they will drive the same distance so 317 yds is what a Power stat of 52 achieves.

    Regards
    Phil
