Just got my component cable, very impressed for the most part. However after trying out Gunstar Heroes with it I discovered that the screen is squashed into about 60% of the top half of the screen and a duplicate displayed beneath. My displays native resolution is 1280x768. Any idea what's causing this? I have the same problem with King Of Fighters 2000 on ps2 with component but kof 2001 is on the same disk and plays fine.

Is it not due to the way those games output the interlaced signal (duplicate interlaced method)? Try switching to 480i and see if that helps.

Just setup component here - it seems ok - not as sharp as HD, but its better than composite.

Just ran Gunstar, seems fine (crap game) dunno what all the ign fuss was about.

Not sure what you where expecting from gunstar. It's just a really good platform shooter, not exactly metal slug but better than 99% of its kind.

It isn't going to look as sharp as HD cause the resolution is so much lower. Monkeys running from the wii to the tv to deliver the signal would be better than composite :D

I know what you mean about 93 year shooters :)

Maybe a nice R-Type on the TG/PCengine will make me happy :)

PCengine R-Type will be perfect for me. It's only the first four levels of the arcade version so they could port it from the jamma original more authentically. Means I will actually get to see the later levels when R-Type 2 comes out :D

No VC games problems here through component.

I was never a fan of Gunstar years back when it was originally released, but my brother thought it was really good.

It's probably your TV, try 480/576i.
