Ordered a new 24inch 2.8ghz iMac 5 weeks ago (the day after they were announced) and still haven't got it - everytime I've chased it up with Apple they keep saying one more week until it will arrive - I phoned today and they said that they now couldn't even estimate a delivery time - the website still states shipping in 3 days!!

Am I the only one with this problem? - I suppose I'm looking for some company in my misery!

    Cheers All

I would be having a word with Trading Standards. Have you actually paid for it? If you paid, it should be shipped within 21 days.

ring up again and ask to talk to the custom services manager,if they decline ask for the managers name and then write to them or email if possible.

5 weeks is stupid, unless there is a production problem but who knows., also ask them what they will do for you as a gesture of good will after an appalling service, usually works - ie throw extended cover in for free or something.

Did you order with bluetooth keyboard - if so then that's probably the delayed item and they don't part ship - plenty of 2.8Ghz iMacs in stock at the Stores ...

On a slightly positive note, if your iMAC arrives in the second half of October, you stand a fair chance of being within the 14 days prior to the release of Leopard. I understand that in times past new OS releases within this interval have triggered a free upgrade.
