I was all set for Murrayfield, B&B booked and now all cancelled and out of pocket, booo.

I guarantee that the tickets will be refunded but not everything we paid. IF that is the case would Section 74 cover me to be reimbursed the full amount?

I imagine they'll reschedule so fans don't miss out on add-on fees, but seeing as these are open air gigs you may have to wait a year.

If you've got annual travel insurance, use it. So many people don't consider using it for stuff in the UK. I've had to cancel mini UK trips in the past and claimed all my money back

Yup. Ive got tickets for Murrayfield too. I suppose the problem with re-scheduling that gig is getting a time where there isn't rugby on. And I was really looking forward to seeing Royal Blood.

I had a look at their tour schedule and the rest of the year is taken up with USA gigs. If it's rescheduled it would be next year IMO.

Interestingly i have a Nationwide Flex Direct account where travel insurance is included as standard, will give them a call.

    Thanks for that tip!

Not personally but newsfeed is filling up quickly with friends who've lost money on hotel reservations, and oddly kennel fees for the Wembley gig on Friday but they seem to be certain the tickets will be refunded in full.

    Such a shame.

The face value was £55 but i paid £127 with the usual extortionate fees, that's what i'm not sure will be refunded.

It was worth a phone call but my insurance doesn't cover me unfortunately.
Firstly, a cancellation incurs a cost of £50 per person.
Secondly, you have to be staying for a minimum of 2 nights to make a claim.

I've cancelled now anyway and tbf i'm not a huge fan of Edinburgh for a night out and i'm not sure a Tuesday night would be all that!

Besides we were relying on Grandparents for helping with a sleepover and taking to school so that burden is relieved.

Yeah, the would always be excess too, so if it's just one night for £65 you'd probably only get £15 back.

I imagine there's no hope for the usual add-on fees and for those that have bought through other extortionate "firms", there's a lesson in itself

Supposed to see them in London this Friday. I've been hit for accommodation and transport costs (from West Wales). I'm gutted, as they are absolutely awesome live.

was going to see them on Saturday. I paid via a creditcard, so if i dont get all of my money back, i will look into doing a creditcard chargeback.

That was my initial question. How do you do that (if you have done it before that is?)

any purchases over £100 are covered by credit card guarantee - just ring up the CC company and dispute the amount saying that the concert is cancelled and i am out of pocket (as the 'goods or services' have not been supplied)

hmmm, after a bit of looking, im not sure that i would be able to use section 75, as i bought 2 tickets for £60.50 + each and they may argue that its 2 separate items below the £100 threshold.

I believe the ticket companies have to issue a full refund of everything including fees and postage. They did when Michael Jackson was supposed to play the o2. If there's a reschedule they will usually offer a transfer or refund, they can't expect you to make the new date and refuse the refunds if you can't.

As for hotels and transport, you are stuck with their own cancellation policies, they are totally independent of the gig so they aren't bound by any rules if its cancelled.

As for the rescheduling, I can't see it happening, they are tied up for most if the year and it's too cold to play stadiums in winter, they might do some arena nights by way if an apology as they are the sort if band that would do something like that. Personally j think they will come back this time next year and finish what they started. I did read some articles, sounds like they are gutted about cancelling, Dave grohl apparently wanted to play regardless of his injuries the crazy fool

Check you can't just move the hotel reservation a few months away too, then move it again & again etc until sometime you can actually use it. Depends on the hotel & booking but free exchanges would be better than losing the lot

Email received this morning, refunds being processed on Wed 24th June.
As i booked a small B&B i have no chance of moving as i asked. They have offered me a partial refund if the room is booked out.
Lets say i'm not holding out much hope in that happening.....

Just to add that if you had bought tickets for the cancelled gigs you should receive an email for access to the presale from Wednesday, keep an eye on your junk folder just in case :smashin:

    Murrayfield too?

I dunno, might give this a miss now. It's not like I haven't seen them before too but I lost a few quid with the cancellation and being September doesn't have the same feel as June outside concert...
