I got this off another site so I don't know if it works or not, but it's worth a go.

    1. Turn Player on with no disc inside
    2. Press pause on the remote control
    3. Then key in 3 1 4 1 5 9
[CODE -- will then be displayed on the player display]
    4. Key in desired Region number
[0 for Auto Multi Region, or manually select 1 to 6]
    5. Then Press Pause again
    6. Turn off player and wait 5 seconds, then back on again.

If you are having problems getting the hack to work, try pressing stop on the remote before you press pause for the first time.

If you got this hack of www.dvd-reviewer.co.uk then it does work.
I had to enter in the details a couple of times before it accepted .If you leave the region selected to region1 it will also play region 2 discs as well !!.Mines set to R! all the time and plays all my R2 discs.
