I was thinking about getting two pairs of these to go with my Revolution fronts and centre. The main thing i like about these is they can be wall mounted without using brackets.

Just wondered if anybody had them and if thet'd be ok to use as surrounds and rears.

They look really good - front ported and will give a good rear soundstage with 4 matching rears. Will go well with bigger Tannoys too. Buy with confidence IMO.

You can pick up R1's for about £99 at the moment, much better than the MXR's.....

Aren't the R1's rear ported? Bit risky placing these against a rear wall and as JIT says, the MXR-M's don't even need brackets. The R1's would be better as fronts, but as rears for films (DVD-audio is another thing again), the little ones will be great.

Yes, i noticed that the R1's are going for £99 now but i don't really want to spend nearly £200 on surround speakers and i think having the MXR's wall mounted would also be an advantage over the R1's.

puddleduck - How do you find your R3's along with the CHT-15?

I have a PS1000 with my R3's and the crossover set at 80Hz but would like a better sub.
