The August issue of one of the mags. contains a round-up of all the current DVD recorders including the Sony/Panny/Phillips/Pioneer. It also mentions the new boxes coming from Kiss/Toshiba and Panny.

I think it was Home Cinema Choice. I will check tomorrow lunchtime if I get a minute to go to WHSmiths. Basically both the current Panny's got 5 stars. The new Sony got 4 stars. The cheaper Phillips got 4 stars. The £1000 Phillips got 5 stars and the Pioneer got 3 stars. I was intending to buy the mag. as I thought it would review the new Tosh as well but it didn't.

The article is worth reading though.
