I've got an Onkyo MD-122 minidisc deck (about 8 years old) that has stopped working. I moved it from one room to another and had it standing there for a few weeks not plugged in until I was ready to connect it up again. When I plug it in to the mains I get a "standby" message on the front display, but as soon as I press any buttons that goes away and the unit will not come out of standby.
Has anyone got any ideas about how to fix this ? It's a shame as the deck is still in great condition but I somehow doubt it would be worth spending money on to repair as it would probably be more expensive than buying a new one :(
