    hi guys anyone had any experiences with the Sony 42B1E ?


    i can get a new one from work at a good price :)

    It depends on your expectations/needs. I had this plasma for one year. DVD looks good but tv signals (i have dig. satellite) is realy not that good. If you want to look analoog cable or regukar video's: don't buy it! I noticed when i changed from the sony to a pioneer 503MXE that it's not that good.

    I guess this Sony is about two generations of plasma's behind. For tv signal (digital) an external deinterlacer or scaler realy helps for this sony.

    thanks for the reply.My main inputs will be:

    Sky +
    Tag Mclaren DVD32R
    And an analogue Tivo

    i was thinking of building a htpc with dscaler but was concerned that this sony had a built in scaler that would cause me problems
