As title other than pinching the hard drive out of them is there any use for the old sky plus boxes?
I’ve got two hd boxes and a 2tb box sitting here looking like they need a job on life.
What a waste of resources

You can still use them as freesat boxes...the only downside is you still have to pay sky if you want to record programmes on them,I'm in the same position.i have 1 1tb black sky HD box and 1 2tb black box...but I have sky Q...I always keep them for when I don't get a new Q deal with sky...

That’s about to come around by the looks of things, as q subscription has jumped up by roughly 45% at contract end. To £111 a month 🤷🏻‍♂️
Good job I insisted they install an lnb capable of working with both systems. Forget the name of it.

Hybrid LNB :)

They should offer you a better deal. Either retentions or if you persist with cancelling then shortly thereafter just to tempt you back. :)

Cut it by half.

yeah it's called a hybrid lnb as i asked the same when i first had sky Q fitted in 2016...glad i did as apparently sky no longer fit them.
