Any Tips Matching stereo interconnect between CD192 & Pio Ax51?

HI All,

I'm finding the CD192 & Pio Ax5i combination a tad bright (Brightness is common with Pioneer AV amps & the CD player is quite new).

I'm using Merlin Chopin (what Hi Fi 5 star winner 2004, £85) as my interconnect but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as far as a interconnect that would settle the treble?

I've heard Van Den Hull are quite good at harnessing treble?

Cheers

You dont say exactly how long you have had the player but if less than a week leave it on repeat for an entire day to make sure its run in properly. Doubt you will cure this brightness without saying bye bye to the Pioneer. By all means go to your local dealer and borrow some interconnects. You could also experiment with the isolation of the CD player as if its on a glass rack this will not help a hard "bright sound"
I see you are a Russ Andrews convert, have you tried the relez static spray on your discs as the difference can be remarkable when using a revealing player.

I've used all vdh 102 mk3 as interconnects and also pulsar points under all kit including speakers. Works for me, but you would need to listen for yourself.

Thanks everyone,

I will try the Van Den Hull 102 Mk 3 & see if this make a diff.

I've always been interested in the releez spray so I will order some of this too.

The player should be "broken in" as I played it continually for a weekend when I recieved it.

Having said that, it does need a few minutes to warm up when turned on?

Cheers

Matt
