Help appreciated for any special offers?
Argos was doing buy one get one free on dvdv ram blank discs...think they were Panasonic make....
not as cheep as buy one get one free from Asgos which is £14.99
But if ya dont want to buy in bulk then goto
they do the same disks for £11.99 though i think there is a couple of quid postage in that too. but if ya buying other stuff too, works out a little cheaper. (very good site for all this kinda stuff. memory cards, film, printer cartridges, all this kinda stuff)
I think those are the little ones for camcorders..
You can get 10 Panasonic DVD-Rams from Costco for £13.61.
What I want to know is why mere mortals like me arn't alowed to shop there...
I bought a pack and they fit fine mate.
The only ones I can find on the site are the 'Panasonic Digital Mini DVD-RAM 60 Min / 2.8GB for £11.99'... am I looking in the wrong place?
I just checked there still there, the mini ones you seen are also there
sorry I searched for DVD-RAM....
In order to spread a little christmas cheer, I have a Ltd company (or two), and we have an account with macro. I'll check their prices, and if no good will get an account at costco. If it can be done quickly enough to gauarantee deliveries I'll let you know and will buy a qty of the dvd rams and ship them on at cost plus postage and packing.
Should stop my wife from calling me scrooge, anyhow?!?
All the Argos stores within 10 miles of here are out of stock and quoting 8 weeks for restocking.
Best price I have seen is 10 for £18.95 plus £2.95 p&p on ebay.
imichael youre a gent

Someone who might offer us RAM disks at cost ?
Merry Christmas one and all!
Hoorah! Praise be!! etc.....
Another "nice guy" on this forum!
hope this is of some help
Thanks guys. I believe Argos is out of stock but found out that some Currys stores stil have them at buy 1 get 1 free.
I usually buy DVD-RAMS from Bigpockets. I buy the 9.4G Double sided ones in a Type 4 case. The price varies but are currently in stock at £3.49 each inc. vat. No charge for credit card orders but there is postage - I normally buy 10 or 20 at a time. They work fine in both my Panasonic and Toshiba machines.
OK, Makro was a blank, I'm off to Costco tomorrow to see if they have stock. It's the company christmas do tonight, so will be online later tomorrow.
Okay, got the last 3 10 packs - the same as the BOGOF at Argos and Curry's at the moment. The price including VAT was £13.61. So unfortunately with post and packing that makes it about the same price as Argos.
If anyone wants me to post them out because they can't get them locally, then I'm happy to do it.
Yes as I cant get them locally I would like to purchase a packet of ten for the price quoted plus p & p.
I"ll pm you my details if thats ok. How would you like paying Cheque/bank transfer/nochex.
I have a paypal account, drop me a pm with your details and I'll let you know the proper total - unless you specifically want it, I'll ship out standard post with proof of posting, rather than registered to keep costs down.
Costco seem cheapest by far - you have to be a member though! try www.ukdvdr.co.uk for other discs also - fraction of the cost on the high street
