I pretty much know the answer to this is no but just thought i'd ask... are there any cards that can accept your sky subscription card and decrypt the channels for you... with direct recording would be nice but i dont think it'll happen..

Its just i'm getting a 2nd box tomorrow and eventually plan to use a hauppauge card to recieve dsat free to air radio stations over dsat..

    I found these products

    http://www.technotrend.de/english/print_files/p_pcproducts.html

Dunno if they'll do the sky or free to air (which requires a card from bbc or sky) ...

    Is this possible?

    You do know the answer:)
There is no hardware except a licensed SKY digibox and smartcard for decoding SKY's Videoguard encrypted channels, this also includes the FTV channels that use Videoguard.
When the BBC go FTA on digital satellite any DVB-S compliant PC satellite card will be able to recevice those channels as well as all the other FTA channels on digital satellite.
