    Errrr..

    NO!!!!

Somebody once told me that the Oscars and the BAFTA's are awards mainly for the biggest investment in films in an attempt to increase profit margins to those studios in favour that particular year.

I for one didnt believe him:rotfl:

I started watching, but turned off when all the luvvies started going on about the war.

They are entitled to an opinion of course, but I object to them using their fame as a platform for their political views.

    Oh dear, standards are slipping.

At least The Two Towers won.

    Best of a bad bunch.

    The nominees were:
    Scooby Doo
    Goldmember
    Men in Black 2
    Oceans 11
    LOTR : Two Towers
    Monsters Inc

Nothing wrong with it at all! In fact I'm delighted. I was simply suggesting the earlier post about only 'big' films getting a look in might be erroneous.

ahh i see! certainly deserves the awards by the look of it. wrote the script at drama school with his tutor, and then manages to direct and somehow get funding agreed for what looks like a fairly epic film (which would only be considered arthouse over here). very impressive. he deserves every penny of tyhe £10k he won.

Hmmm best bit of the BAFTA's....

Meryl Streep wanting to spank people.....

Or perhaps Serena McKellan's introducion.... :D

I have to admit....I actually quite enjoyed the show for a change.

Anyone watch tonight's strange TV awards ceremony .... isn't it a bit late in the year for a 2006 awards show? !!

Where were all the categories for best TV actor/actress etc??

Why wasn't Dr Who nominated, since it won a BAFTA or two last year?

Nice dig at Katie from the Apprentice by Richard Curtis :smashin: ;)

EDIT... scratch that, I wasn't paying attention and just noticed on the news that V Wood and J Broadbent won those awards, which I now faintly recall
