I have a a 27" Sony flat screen TV (KV-27FS13) that is 3 years old. My Red jack for my component input is bad and I have a scrambled picture. When I wiggle the red jack, the screen return to normal but I have to hold it in one position to to make it work. I have tried the duct tape option and it still wont hold. I have also swapped Component cables, but no dice.

The TV is not HDTV, so if I downgraded to S-video it won't be that big of a deal but I would really like to fix this. Do you guys have any ideas of how to fix this? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

It's likely to be a poor soldered joint in the rear of the socket. Any electrician would be able to rectify this for you quite easily if thats what the problem is.
