I would like to know too. Considering the PX60 but prefer the style of the PV600.

Don't know if this helps but i was in Comet in Edinburgh (newcraighall) and they had a 600 and 60 both priced at
£1999, which confused me slightly

Yeah Im almost certain, thats why i was confused...The last thing i was expecting to see was a 600 let alone one at the same price as the 60. It was a long day though and I might have been seeing things :(

I have also asked about this at Comet on A10, Enfield. Guy said they had them in stock, but not on display.
I just didn't take him seriously. Should have asked for more information.

I did get hold of a panasonic wallchart, which you can use to measure the size of the plasma, how big it'll look. :)

Im pretty damn sure acerick22, my girlfriend was intrigued by the gloss black border around the picture and the SD card slot at the front was very distinctive...either that or I've gone completley mental.

The px600 (37, 42 and 50) will have a provisional release date of May. However they have basically the same spec as the PX60 - apart from card slots and better speakers (and most of you peeps probably have surround). The PX60 now has a pc imput! So my advice is get a PX60 and save some pennies. I dont have all the info but the panels should be identical.

Here in the colonies (US) the 600 series will also have a cablecard slot that allows use of an internal card instead of the *&%$#!! set-top box. Picture quality is much improved.

OK I've been thinking about this for a while but can stay quiet no longer... why the hell are Panasonic introducing the same TV twice? There's just not enough of a difference between them to justify more than say £100 difference: if I were a money-grubbing marketing type working for Panasonic I'd want to see more of a differential in the screens (say PC input only on the 600, much like 500 vs 52 LCDs... or only 1 HDMI on the cheaper one (a la Pioneers).

Instead, the cheapo one's got all the good stuff... which I am happy about, but it just doesn't seem to be the way that consumer companies usually operate.....?

The PV600/PX600's seem to be up on the major European Panasonic sites now so you would think it shouldn't be too long before they hit the high streets, however my local Panny dealer said July/August

My local dealer (Netherlands) told me they can deliver and of May. I think Panasonic will cancel any employers holiday plans to get this out before the WC soccer.

But the difference between the PX60 and PX600 actually doesn't justify the money. Only the looks of the 60 series is really cheap looking in my eyes. So I think I'm gonna spend a lot of money for some better looks :rotfl:

The 37PX600cab is up on the Hispek website at £2499, which suggest the 37 will be £1999.

All new models tend to appear on the Hispek website a couple of weeks before they actually get them in.

The 50PX600 is £4099 for anyone interested :smashin:

Looks like the rrp of of the PX600 will be the same as the current PV500's.

RRP for the 42PV500 is £2400 ish in the high street

It's true, they are advertising both the PV600 and the PX600.

I've seen the later advertised for 2523 euro with a 2 week delivery. Not sure if that is just to get your interest but we will see.

.... as you have probably guessed I live in Holland ;)

As far as I remember the PX600 has 2 HDMI connectors, SD card slot and Multi-Window functionality (PIP / POP / PAT / PAP)

Panasonic NL only list the PV600 yet two online stores are advertising the PX600 with a 2 week delivery.

It is all very confusing

I also live in Netherlands but I am not sure on the prices. If you go to the website www.kieskeurig.nl and search on the Panasonic plasmas you will see that the cheapest listing for the PV600 is 2429 euro from 'deWinkle.nl' (www.dewinkel.nl) and the cheapest listing for the PX600 is 2353 euro from 'Progress' (www.progress.nl).

This doesn't make much sense to me as it looks cheaper for the plasma that comes with a built-in tuner

Which dealer do you refer too, which model was it and how much did they quote?

But the website from Progress explicitly mentions the digital tuner, so I guess the price is right...
